Getting started

The first time you log in, you land on Campaigns. If your account's brand profile — what we call Business DNA — isn't set up yet, the app opens a built-in Onboarding campaign automatically and the assistant walks you through a couple of quick steps before you start building.

You don't need to do anything special to trigger this. It happens once, the first time you arrive with nothing configured, and it stays out of your way after that.

Step 1: Business DNA

The assistant asks for your website's address. Give it your homepage URL and it reads the site to build a first draft of your brand profile — colors, fonts, voice, and the other details the AI uses whenever it writes copy or designs something for you.

You don't need to get this perfect here. You can review and refine everything later in Settings → Business DNA — add messaging pillars, set your legal and footer details, or adjust the visual system by hand. See Business DNA for the full picture.

Step 2: Sending domain

Next, the assistant asks for the domain you send business email from — for example yourcompany.com. A Gmail or Outlook address won't work here; it needs to be a domain whose DNS you control. The assistant registers it and gives you a short list of DNS records to add with your domain provider.

Registering the domain is enough to finish onboarding — you don't have to verify it in this conversation. When you're ready, add those records and finish verification in Settings → Email → Domains → Verify now; DNS changes usually show up within minutes but can take up to 48 hours. Email sending stays unavailable until the domain verifies. See Email and SMS setup for details.

What's next

Once your brand is set up and you've registered a sending domain, onboarding is considered done — the assistant will suggest, but won't require, two more things:

  • Add a phone number in Settings → SMS if you want to send text messages. This is a paid step you complete yourself, since it involves purchasing a number.
  • Connect a social account in Settings → Integrations and connectors if you want to post to social channels.

Both can be set up any time — they're not part of the guided flow.

Reopening setup later

If you close the Onboarding campaign before finishing, or just want to pick up where you left off, look for the Finish setup prompt on the Campaigns page. Clicking it reopens the same guided flow. Once your brand is set up and you've registered a sending domain, the prompt goes away for good.

Using the app on a phone

The app works on a phone browser at 375px and up. Navigation collapses into a menu button in the top-left; tap it to reach Pulse, Campaigns, Audience, Automations, Library, and Settings.

A few surfaces are built for a wider screen and are simplified on a phone:

  • Journey editing — you can open and pan a journey, but building one is far easier on a laptop.
  • Artifacts — instead of sitting in a side rail like they do on a laptop, the things a task produces (emails, images, and so on) stack full-width below the conversation. Tap one to open it full-screen.
  • Wide tables — settings and report tables scroll sideways within their own box rather than shrinking their columns.
