Blog post

A blog post is a long-form article for your website or content hub — the kind of piece you'd publish to share expertise, announce news, or bring in readers through search. Create one when you want a full article, not just a short caption or message.

How to create one

Start a session and describe what you want the post to cover. Pulse's "New report" is a good place to start if you have a general idea but haven't settled on a specific topic yet — the assistant can suggest headline ideas based on your business. If the post is tied to a specific campaign, that campaign's chat is a good place to start instead, since the assistant will already have relevant context.

If your topic is broad ("write about marketing"), the assistant will offer a few specific headline ideas tailored to your business rather than guessing. It may also ask whether you'd like it to do some web research before drafting, which can help ground the post in current facts and examples. Describe the tone, target length, and audience you have in mind. See Using AI sessions for general tips on writing a good prompt.

Example prompts

@[Name] below stands for an @-mention: type @ in the composer and pick the real saved file. See Pointing at your own data.

Quick

  • "create blog post"
  • "create a blog post on the advantages of using AI agents in lead generation"

Fully specified

  • "Write a blog post on the top 5 mistakes small businesses make with email marketing. Audience: first-time customers, not marketers. ~800 words, friendly and concrete, one takeaway per section, no jargon."

Built on something you already have

  • "take some ideas from [url] and write a new blog post from them"
  • "Write a deep-dive post explaining our new integration feature for readers who want more than the launch page's summary. Lean on the material in @[Saved research file]."

What happens after you ask

If your topic is broad, or something important is unclear — like your target audience or whether you'd like research included — the assistant will ask before producing a draft. Otherwise it goes ahead and writes the full article, including a title and supporting structure suited for reading online and being found through search.

The draft lands in your Library, ready for review. Nothing is published to your website automatically — you can read it over, ask for revisions, or edit it yourself. Once you're happy with it, publishing it is a separate step you take when you're ready.

Open the post to see its preview panel. Click the pencil icon to edit the text directly — changes save automatically as you go. When you're ready to publish it elsewhere, download it as Markdown, HTML, or Word from the toolbar. Close exits the panel.

FAQ

Q: How long can a blog post be? A: Tell the assistant your target length — for example, "around 600 words" or "a longer, in-depth piece" — and it will aim for that. If you don't specify, it will choose a length that fits the topic.

Q: Will the assistant make up facts or statistics? A: No. If it includes research or statistics, it only uses information it has actually looked up — it will offer to do web research if that would help, and won't fabricate numbers or sources.

Q: Does the blog post get published automatically once it's drafted? A: No. It's saved as a draft in your Library. You review it, make any edits you want, and only then take the separate step to publish it.

Q: What file formats can I download the post in? A: Markdown, HTML, or Word, from the preview panel's toolbar.
