An image artifact is a generated picture you can use in an email, a web page, or a social post. Create one whenever you need visual content — a hero banner, a product shot, an icon, an illustration, or a background — and don't have (or don't want to use) an existing photo or graphic.

How to create one

Start a session anywhere in the app and describe the image you want. Pulse's "New report" is a fine place to start on its own; if the image is for a specific email or campaign, that campaign's chat gives the assistant useful context automatically.

Describe the subject, and mention what it's for if it's not obvious — a hero image for the top of an email reads differently than a small icon or a product photo. The assistant generates images that match your brand's look automatically, so you don't need to specify colors or style unless you want something different from your usual brand feel.

What happens after you ask

If the assistant needs more detail — what the image is for, or its rough shape — it will ask before generating. If something close to what you asked for already exists in your Library, the assistant will point it out and ask whether you'd rather reuse that one or generate something new.

Once generated, the image appears in your session and is saved to your Library. From there you can ask for another version — "try again," "make it warmer," "without the steam" — and the assistant will produce a revised image without discarding the original, so you can compare and pick the one you want.

In the preview panel

Open the image to see its preview panel. Download image always saves the actual image file to your device. Copy image copies the image itself to your clipboard, so you can paste it straight into another document, email, or chat — depending on your setup, that's either the raw image or a version formatted to paste cleanly into apps like Gmail, Docs, or Word. A brief "Copied" note appears next to the toolbar to confirm it worked. Close exits the panel.

In the Library

Every image — whether the assistant generated it in a session or you uploaded it yourself — appears as a single tile in your Library that shows the actual picture. Hover the tile for its actions:

• Preview opens the image full-screen, the same way for every image. From the preview you can Download the file, and — if the image was created in a session — jump to that session with Go to session.
• Open goes to the session the image was created in, just like any other artifact. (Uploaded images have no session, so Open previews them instead.)
• Clone makes a copy you can drop into another campaign.

Rename inline. Click an image's name on its tile, type a new one, and press Enter (Escape cancels). The new name follows the image everywhere it appears — the Library, the session it was created in, and anywhere you @-mention it.

Use Upload images on the same page to add pictures you already have; uploaded images preview and rename exactly like generated ones.

FAQ

Q: Can I paste an image somewhere else without downloading it first? A: Yes. Use Copy image in the preview panel, then paste it directly into whatever you're working on. In most cases the image itself is copied, not just a link — if your browser can't copy the image directly, a link is copied instead and a brief "Link copied" note lets you know.

Q: Can I ask for small changes to an image instead of starting over? A: Yes. Ask for a directional change — a different mood, a color swap, an element removed — and the assistant will revise it while keeping the original for comparison.

Q: Can I make an exact copy of an image I already have? A: Yes. Ask the assistant to clone it. That makes a duplicate with no changes, which is useful as a starting point you can then ask for tweaks on.

Q: Do I need to describe my brand's style every time? A: No. The assistant applies your brand's visual identity automatically. Only mention style details when you want something that departs from your usual look.

Q: Can I rename an image in the Library? A: Yes — click its name on the tile and type a new one. The change applies everywhere the image appears, including the session it was created in.

Q: I created an image in a session — can I get back to that session from the Library? A: Yes. Use Open on the tile, or Go to session in the image's preview, to jump to the session it came from.
